Dr Cherif Tadros graduated from the Université de Montréal Faculty of Medicine with a specialty in orthopedic surgery. He did a fellowship in “Sports, reconstructive and shoulder surgery” at the Toronto Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital and specialised on shoulder and knee surgery. Two years after his entry at the Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital in Laval, he became Head of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and was named in 2004 Head of the Department of Surgery. In 1993, he was appointed Chief Medical Officer for the Rogers Cup International Tennis tournament, a position he held until 2007.

Dr. Tadros has participated in over 20 conferences on sports medicine and orthopedic surgery, and has presented his findings on shoulder (and knee) pathology to many audiences.

Concerning shoulder injuries, Dr Cherif Tadros is the author of numerous articles published in specialised magazines. He did some researches and made presentations on both Bankart Repair Results and Rotator cuff tear repairs at the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital (Toronto, Ontario). He presented his findings related to the Impingment syndrome of the shoulder, Management of Shoulder Dislocation, Injection around the Shoulder as well as Physical Examination of the Shoulder at the Actualité Médicale, a specialized magazine dedicated to physicians in the province of Quebec. He did a presentation in Florida to family doctors on Examination of the Shoulder and Knee. The Quebec Therapist Association invited him to talk about Acromioplasty and he presented several presentations on Impingement Syndrome of the Shoulder and Shoulder Dislocation. He wrote articles in the Medactuel Magasine on Rotator Cuff Tear and Painfull Shoulder among other subjects related to orthopedic surgery.

He has served on several committees, such as the Board of Directors of the Association québécoise des médecins du sport (Quebec association for sports medicine physicians), for which he also served as President, and the sports medicine editorial board for l’Actualité médicale. He held the title of President of the Laval regional round table for specialised medicine (ministerial appointment) from 2004 to 2006.

Dr. Tadros specialises in shoulder and knee surgery, has extensive experience with prostheses, and also performs foot surgery.

He is licensed to practice in Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta.
